A new release from New Belgium Brewing Co. is meant to be an original take on eighteenth century saisons.
The beer is French Oak Saison, a 7.5 percent ABV sour farmhouse ale that has been aged in French oak foeders for between 14 and 19 months before being bottled.
“The dry elegance of a classic saison is married with the rustic wild yeasts and refreshing tartness created by oak barrel maturation,” reads the beer label. “Amuses-vous bien!”
