Brewed in celebration of the Ohio Pawpaw Festival, this Wheat Ale was fermented with the Ohio native Pawpaw fruit; a unique relative of tropical fruit trees that grows in temperate climates. Pawpaw Wheat offer a one-of-a-kind experience with notes of mango, banana, and a touch of melon, as special as the fruit and the state we call home!
This is our first year canning Pawpaw Wheat! We fermented this batch with a fruity English Ale yeast for the first time, adding to the bouquet of fruit and to round out the edges. We continue to locally source our pawpaw fruit from Integration Acres adding to the immense terroir of this offering. With this special beer going into cans for the first time and seeing distribution later this month, we are very pleased to share this slice of Southeast Ohio with the rest of the state!
